Shoulder Problems

Several factors and conditions can cause shoulder pain, shoulder discomfort, and a variety of other shoulder problems. A common cause of shoulder pain is rotator cuff tendinitis, tendon inflammation, or soreness. Tendon is a flexible but inelastic cord made of strong fibrous collagen tissue that attaches a muscle to the bone. You might experience tendon soreness and inflammation after painting, playing sports, lifting heavy weights at the gym, or lifting boxes while helping your friends to move.

What we call shoulder, in reality, is a combination of several joints, tendons, and muscles at the shoulder junction that allow us to have a wide range of motion and mobility. This is why when you have shoulder issues; you probably also experience neck pain and movement limitation and even upper back problems. in the thoracic region.

Your shoulder is made of three bones: Scapula (your shoulder blade), Humerus (your upper arm bone), and Clavicle (your collarbone).

The head of your upper arm bone fits into a rounded socket in your shoulder blade. A combination of muscles and tendons keeps your arm bone centered in your shoulder socket. These tissues are called the rotator cuff.

The rotator cuff is made of 4 muscles that surround the arm bone. This cuff keeps your shoulder steady as you move your arm. If the pain you experience is on the front of your shoulder, this indicates that the rotator cuff is injured. This pain is usually worse when you raise your arm over your head. The pain can be bad enough to interrupt you from doing simple tasks, like putting on a shirt. Pain at night is also common, and it may be bad enough to wake you up in the middle of the night.

Most Shoulder Problems start with a neglect of the joint, not understanding the proper dynamics of the join, its max range, max strength, its capabilities, and limitations.

Chances are at some point in your life you either had, have, or will have some types of a shoulder issue. If you had or have a shoulder problem, pain, or discomfort, then you know that:
